Memorial Day weekend is Chip Fest time in Manor. The Chamber of Commerce produces and sponsors this family-oriented event that celebrates “chips” in all their glory.
From a chocolate chip bake-off and chips/salsa contest to chip and putt, chip eating contests and the ever-popular cow chip bingo, Chip Fest is a time when Manor comes together for a chip-tossing, rip-roaring, old-fashioned good time. Each year brings a wider variety of food vendors, arts and crafts, and kids activities in addition to live entertainment.
Chip Fest kicks off at 8: a.m. Saturday morning of Memorial Day weekend with a 5K run that draws contestants from all over Central Texas. All entrants receive a temporary computer chip that monitors progress and performance during this certified race.
Proceeds advance the general welfare and prosperity of Manor through increasing awareness and tourism in the area and also enables the Chamber of Commerce to expand its support of ongoing scholarship funding for local students.

2009 Chip Fest Update:
A special "thank you" is extended to those individuals who attended the 3rd Annual Chip Festival. The weather was great and we had winners in many categories including overall winners Hawk Harris and Valerie Neidig in the 5K Run.
Chocolate Bake Off Winners included Little Chip 1st place - Samantha Wallace and 2nd place - Wilson Randolph. In the Mama Chip Division - 1st place - Zinda Pierson; 2nd place - Lori Sellers; 3rd place - Rebecca Davies. In the Grandma Chip Division - 1st place and returning champion - Christy Wallace; 2nd place - Susan Johnson; 3rd place - Cherye West.
Salsa Contest Individual Winners included 1st place - Johnny Velasco; 2nd place - Felipe Hernandez; 3rd place - Keith Tucker. In the Restaurant Division - 1st place - Good Luck Grill's Atomic Salsa; 2nd place - 290 Cafe; 3rd place - La Plaza Mexican Restaurant.
Golf Chipping - 1st place - Curtis Courtney (3rd year in a row); 2nd place - Curtis Courtney; 3rd place - Randy Willis.
Frito Chip Eating Contest - Kids Division - 1st place - Caleb Devany; 2nd place - Deven Boynton; 3rd place - Khaalid Stewart. Adult Division - 1st place - Nikol Stovall; 2nd place - Kenneth Tuberville; 3rd place - Markee Whitaker.
Cow Chip Bingo - Grand Prize winner of 2 Southwest Airline Tickets sponsored by KST Electric - Denise LoSchiavo. Splatter matter winners - Courtney Thomas, Cody Gardner, David Krenek, Greg White, Bart Reeves, Randy Willis.
